چکیده
The aim of this paper was to determine the particle size composition wood dust emission from CNC milling natural and medium-density fiberboard (MDF) evaluate associated occupational exposure risks. is focused on some most commonly used materials in woodworking furniture industry, i.e., solid (beech, oak, spruce) composite (MDF panels). In addition influence machined material, effect technical-technological parameters, namely, feed speed depth cut distribution, also investigated. selected values parameters study followed common work practice small processing companies. distribution evaluated by using sieve analysis samples total mass collected dust. results demonstrated that machining characterized mostly formation coarse fractions (2 mm–1 mm sieves), whilst MDF with generation fine a below 100 μm. obtained can be for optimizing technological programs machines, thus, reducing harmful emissions wood-processing industry.

Preparation of Medium Density Fiberboard from Wood Fibers Catalytically Oxidized by Laccase-Mediator System
Laccase, an enzyme capable of degrading lignin, has become an effective agent for green processing and has great significance for the protection of the environment and the development of a low-carbon economy. In this work, wood fibers were selected as the raw material, and with activation by a laccase-mediator system, lignin was changed to a natural adhesive material, and the high temperature/h...
متن کاملFitting Weibull and Lognormal Distributions to Medium-density Fiberboard Fiber and Wood Particle Length
Fiber lengths were analyzed for random samples of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) fibers and wood particles taken from eleven different populations. For six of the samples, the lognormal distribution fit the data, while the Weibull distribution did not. For three of the samples, the Weibull fit the data, while the lognormal did not. For two of the samples, both the lognormal and Weibull fit the...
متن کاملProperties of medium - density particleboard from saline Athel wood
The Athel tree, Tamarix aphylla (L), can potentially be used as a biomass crop to help manage saline subsurface drainage water in arid land irrigated agriculture. In this study, Athel wood was used to manufacture medium-density particleboard with an aim of developing new applications for the saline wood. The research investigated the effects of different types of adhesives, particle sizes, bark...

متن کاملMedium Density Fiberboard from Mixed Southern Hardwoods
Medium-density fiberboards of acceptable quality were made from a mixture of barky chips from 14 southern hardwoods. Boards made from fiber refined at three different plate clearances did not vary significantly in bending, internal bond (IB), or linear expansion. But, lack of replications and the fact that the refiner was not loaded to capacity caused these results to be inconclusive. Increasin...
